What you’ll see in one day

The Verdon is the perfect mix of water, cliffs and “real Provence” on the road. We show the gorge from the best viewpoints and give you time at the lake — and if conditions allow, you can also experience Verdon from inside by boat or kayak.

    FAQ

Short answers to the most common questions about the Verdon Gorge small-group excursion.

    Do I have to swim?
No. Swimming is optional. You can relax by the lake, take photos, or enjoy extra time in Moustiers instead.
    Are boating/kayak activities always available?
Not always. Availability depends on season and safety conditions (wind, weather, local restrictions). If water access is limited, we focus on the best viewpoints and lake panoramas.
    How “winding” are the roads?
There are winding sections — that’s normal in Provence. No extreme roads, but if you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking your usual medication in advance (if not contraindicated).
    Is lunch included?
Lunch is not included. You’ll have free time in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie to choose a restaurant or grab something light.
Is the driver also a licensed guide?
The driver shares practical information about the region and the day, but is not a licensed guide. A professional guide can be arranged on request (subject to availability).
    What’s the group size?
Usually a small group (typically 4–7 people) to keep the pace comfortable and allow enough time at stops.
