What you’ll see on your private lavender tour
The itinerary is designed to give you the “must-see” Valensole lavender experience without rushing. Stops and timing are always adjusted to your pace, weather and light. Below are the main highlights — some are optional and can be added or skipped.
Valensole Plateau lavender fields
The iconic Provence postcard: endless lines of lavender, warm sun, and that unforgettable summer scent. We select the best locations for the current week so you can walk the fields, take photos and truly enjoy the moment.
Moustiers-Sainte-Marie
A magical village set between cliffs — charming streets, artisan shops and the famous local ceramics tradition. Perfect for a relaxed lunch, a coffee pause, and beautiful “real Provence” frames.
Verdon Gorge & Lake Sainte-Croix (optional)
One of Europe’s most breathtaking landscapes: turquoise water, cliffs and panoramic viewpoints. If you choose this option, you can also swim (seasonal) or rent a kayak/pedal boat at the lake.
Provence winery & tasting (optional)
If timing works comfortably, we can add a winery stop for a tasting session. A great way to finish the day with a “grown-up Provence” note — relaxed, elegant and authentic.
Villecroze grottoes (optional)
A refreshing green park with grottoes and a small waterfall — a lovely photo pause on the way when you want to add one more calm “oasis” moment to the day.

Seasonality & “best lavender now”
Blooming and harvesting depend on weather and vary each year. For date planning: Lavender blooming season in Provence. Closer to your trip, we’ll advise which fields look best in the current week.
Choose your format
Pick the day scenario: classic full-day itinerary, “lavender only”, or a light-focused sunrise/sunset plan. We’ll recommend what works best for your dates and expectations.
Full day (recommended)
10–11 hours. The complete Provence picture: Valensole lavender + Moustiers-Sainte-Marie + (optional) Lake Sainte-Croix / Verdon panoramas — with a calm pace and no rushing.
Lavender only
About 7 hours. Maximum time on the fields and photos, fewer extra drives and stops. Perfect if your goal is “pure Valensole lavender”.
Sunrise or sunset on lavender
Two best light scenarios: sunrise (very early, minimal crowds) or sunset (golden hour, warm cinematic tones). Timing depends on season — typical sunrise departure ~04:00, sunset departure ~14:30.
